About Us - Mike Nelson, Vice President
Mike joined Nelson Development Company in September 2003 after working 11 years as a Risk Manager for a large insurance and financial services company in San Antonio.
An active reservist in the United States Air Force, Mike has deployed on multiple occasions in support of operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. Mike was born and raised in Austin and currently resides in Boerne with his wife and two children.
In partnership with the Larry Nelson Company, Mike works with realtors, landowners, investors and lenders to locate, purchase and develop highly marketable commercial properties throughout the Austin area. Mike also markets and manages completed and near-completed projects, to include office, retail, industrial and multi-use space.
Mike holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism, and Master of Arts degree in Business. Mike has also completed the course of study at the United States Air Force's Air Command and Staff College.
