About Us - Mike Nelson, Vice President
Mike joined Nelson Development Company in September 2003 after working 11 years as a Risk Manager for a large insurance and financial services company in San Antonio.
In partnership with the Larry Nelson Company, Mike facilitates due diligence and works with realtors, landowners, investors, and lenders to purchase and develop highly marketable commercial properties throughout the Austin area. Mike also markets and manages completed and near-completed projects, to include office, retail, industrial, and multi-use space.
An active reservist in the United States Air Force, Mike has deployed on multiple occasions in support of operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. Mike was born and raised in Austin and currently resides in Boerne with his wife and two children.
Mike holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Texas State and Master of Arts degree in Business.
